Raheem Sterling confirms that he needs to get his hands on one of the jerseys of Lionel Messi, even if he does not try to place one on his wall.
Since changing his shirt with celebrity rivals during major tournaments, Manchester City winger Sterling is creating a set but he leaves them locked shut.
The 25-year-old claims he is waiting for the end of his career before reuniting his silverware and painting his range of ties.
Sterling wants to make sure that the shirts of a couple of City colleague David Silva adorn the walls of his Jamaican home.
I'm a jersey dealer so I don't have some shirts on my wall yet, Sterling told BBC Radio 5 Live. I don't want people walking into my house and thinking I'm a football player. I enjoy having my family focused, so I'm sure I'll get all the shirts when I leave playing and settle down somewhere-probably several shirts to chose from-to choose my favorites I've played towards a game.
There's only one I just like and that's a Messi shirt-I got a Neymar shirt when we played, I guess that's the first shirt I've ever asked for.
Sterling also clarified how much Silva means to him.
He said Silva, who is expected to quit City at the end of the 2019-20 season that is currently suspended, has taught him to be modest as a professional.

Paying homage to the accomplished Spanish playmaker, Sterling said Silva's coaching has helped him to keep the modesty in himself and handle himself decently.
Sterling has developed into one of Europe's most deadly goal scorers, netting 17 league goals in 2018-19 and 11 this season until the coronavirus pandemic halted play in March.
Sterling has already continued to pour in the goals at international level, hitting eight times during his latest nine outings for England.
Yet the former Liverpool player has said he's not at the scoring pace he should be, claiming he feels he has 15 more goals in him every season.
