The strong word that has come from the Catalan sports press in recent days is that Neymar's signing is a big target for FC Barcelona, with the Brazilian ahead of Lautaro Martínez on the club's wish list.

President of LaLiga, Javier Tebas talked on Friday as part of a global conference hosted by the Aragon Association of Directors and Executives and gave his thoughts about whether LaLiga will restart play after the Covid-19 virus broke out in March placing top flight football in Europe about pause.
He also commented on some of the already circulated trade rumors. It's not accurate that Barca is actually in contract negotiations when these two players are recruited. They're more concentrated on where the season will begin as compared to fresh purchases. There will be short-term trade transactions in the future, but moves are not high on the European clubs' agenda at the moment.

Tebas ended his review of the contract rumors by adding: The team actually does not have the ability to render such signatures, it's absolutely unlikely at present.
