Barcelona head coach Quique Setien said he was neither "pessimistic nor optimistic" about the possible signing of Inter forward Lautaro Martinez.
Martinez, 22, is linked to a move to the La Liga giants, having scored 16 goals in 31 games for Inter this season.
Barcelona is also reported to be interested in bringing Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar back to Camp Nou.

Setien was uncertain about Barca's chances of signing Martinez while saying that the coronavirus pandemic would have an impact on the transfer.
They think of transitions, but this pandemic is likely to cause a lot of stuff possible. The club case would be politically difficult, Onda Cero reported on Sunday.

For Lautaro, I'm not cynical or hopeful. I like how amazing footballers I know, but I don't have any fantasies about it.
Last month, the La Liga season was postponed owing to the coronavirus pandemic, despite Barcelona maintaining a two-point advantage and 11 games remaining to play.
Setien, 61, would like to finish the initiative, although he acknowledged that it would be hard for Covid-19 to have killed more than 164,000 people worldwide, with a death toll in Spain approaching 20,400.
We just want the championship to stop even though it's behind closed doors, he said.
But I would like to be told that there will be no issue with that.
Setien added-I consider it impossible to restart the championship. I like to sit at home before any light is detected.
In January, the Spanish president became Barcelona's coach after the dismissal of Ernesto Valverde.
He was close to joining the Egyptian club, though, until the Blaugrana came to call after seven months out of work since leaving Real Betis.
Days before Barcelona contacted me, I was about to quit for a job in Egypt, said Setien to El Larguero as Marca.
I will teach Barcelona for life. Okay, maybe not for life, but under nearly any situation.
Former Pyramids FC chairman Turki Al-Sheikh claimed that Setien had already agreed a deal with an unknown Egyptian team that he was going to buy and that the Spaniard was just three days away from work before heading for Africa.
Quique Setien was going to come to Egypt to function within three days, but he got an offer from Barcelona, so I asked him not to hesitate to do so, Al-Sheikh wrote on social media.
This is the plot, and I'm not going to tell you the name of the Egyptian party.
