Javier Tebas, president of Spanish top division La Liga, has said clubs will be banned if they refuse from playing once the season resumes.

Tebas made the remarks at a time when the Spanish Football Association is again concerned about player safety at the start of the season.

"If the club refuses to play after the administration has given them permission to play, they will lose their game", Tebas said in a video conference call with Ade Connecta.

At the conference, Tebas said he and La Liga have plans to finish the season in five stages.

Asked if it would start again this season, Tebas said he had not thought about it. We don't have that situation now, Tebas said.

Neither UEFA nor La Liga have any plans.
