He retired from professional football about 10 months ago and stated in a recent interview that he intends to return. 
Dutch winger Robben, who is also a former Chelsea player, announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 35.




Robben, who was in trouble due to injury, retired from professional football before his contract expired with Bayern Munich.
In the first year of his retirement, he intends to return to the game. 

Speaking on the FC Bayern podcast, he said he remembers football.

"In the beginning, I didn't remember football. But, as time goes by, I am missing a lot. I think I have to play for the title again". "I miss football very much. I was busy, I had no personal plans. When you retire, no one is waiting for you. But, I think I was born for football."

Robben played professional football for the Spanish club Real Madrid as well as PSV and Chelsea. Winning trophies for each club, he led Bayern to the Bundesliga and Chelsea to the Premier League. He also won the La Liga title with Real Madrid in Spain and the Champions League title with Bayern Munich in 2013. 

He was also the UEFA Man of the Match when Bayern won the Champions League and began his professional career 19 years ago with Dutch club FC Groningen. He also led the Netherlands to the FIFA World Cup final. Robben led the way to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. However, after losing to Spain, he was eliminated from the World Cup title.
