Pele: Ignore Ronaldo vs Messi and I'm the greatest

"There'll be just one Pele, there won't be many like me," said Pele.

Brazil's hero Pele weighed in the Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi controversy, but insists that none of the stars corresponds to him.

The 79-year- who won three World Cups and scored 1281 career goals- not formally registered- generally recognized as the best footballer of all time.

Among them, Messi and Ronaldo won 11 of the last 12 stages of the Ballon d'Or-six for Messi and five for Ronaldo.

Pele thinks Ronaldo is better at the moment, with the Barcelona forward edging his Portuguese counterpart in the fight.

"I believe Cristiano Ronaldo is the most reliable player out there right now, but you can't ignore Messi," said Pilhado, a YouTube channel.

Pele's contributions have long been weighed against another soccer star, Diego Maradona, but he did not feature on the Brazilian list of all-time greatest players.

Questioned whether it was easier than Ronaldo and Messi, Pele replied, "It's a difficult question to address. I've been asked a number of times." We mustn't talk about Zico and Ronaldinho. People still think about European players such as (Franz) Beckenbauer and (Johan) Cruyff.

"It's not my duty, but I guess I'm better than all of them."

"There's just one Pele. There's no one else like me.
